Information on the 81st Anniversary of Korea’s Liberation

Dear comrades,

With the significant 81st anniversary of Korea’s liberation near at hand, all Korean workers and members of the trade unions look back in surging emotion the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by the great leader President Kim Il Sung who defeated the Japanese imperialists and achieved the historic cause of national liberation.

In the early 20th century the Japanese imperialists robbed Korea of its sovereignty and forced colonial slavery upon the Korean people.

When the darkest cloud of national ruin hovered over Korea, the great leader President Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of revolution with the lofty intention to liberate the country, clarified the truth of revolution that the armed enemy could be overpowered only by means of arms, put forward the original line of armed struggle, and on April 25, 1932, organized the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, the first Juche-oriented revolutionary armed force.

In the whole period of anti-Japanese war, he put forth the revolutionary and scientific lines, strategies, tactics and ingenious guerrilla war methods, rallied as one the anti-Japanese patriotic forces from all walks of life, and led the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory, braving through all difficulties and trials in the van. At last, on August 15, 1945 he defeated the Japanese imperialists and achieved the historic cause of national liberation.

Apart from the undying exploits performed by the great leader President Kim Il Sung for national liberation, we can neither think of today’s Korea nor can we consider the high dignity, honour and pride of the Korean people.

Today all the Korean people, firmly united behind respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, president of the state affairs of the DPR Korea, fully demonstrate the dignity of the powerful independent nation to the whole world, frustrating every step of the moves of US-led imperialists to isolate and stifle the DPR Korea.

The Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea expresses its belief that you will share the festive mood with the Korean workers and members of trade unions in celebrating the day of Korea’s liberation.

With best regards.

Workers and Retirees vs. Milei: The Fight for a Shared Future

Class War and Market Predation

Contra la privatización: La clase obrera argentina en lucha

We must be clear: the assault on Argentine retirees is a direct attack on the entire working class. While the capitalist media distracts us with the president’s erratic social media outbursts, we recognize these as a smokescreen for the systemic dismantling of our social security. We refuse to be passive observers as the wealth we generated through decades of labor is handed over to private financiers and local oligarchs under the guise of austerity.

This is not a crisis of leadership—it is a brutal class war.

Our demand is non-negotiable: we must establish a new public, non-state, pay-as-you-go, and solidarity-based pension system. This structure must be managed and administered directly by those it serves: active and retired workers. We refuse any attempt at privatization or the further erosion of our dignity by a government that views the elderly as liabilities rather than the builders of our nation’s heritage. The struggle of the retirees is the struggle of every union member today.

International Solidarity Against Capital

The core issue is not the president’s personality, but the predatory capitalist agenda he enforces. As rival factions of the right-wing elite squabble over the spoils of the state, the working class continues to suffer. Whether it is the internal corruption of 'Freedom Advances' or the boardroom battles between industrial giants like Paolo Rocca and the Clarín Group, the outcome for us is always the same: austerity, layoffs, and the theft of our futures. We stand with those defending public education, healthcare, and science against a 'lion' who is nothing more than a puppet for global capital. No worker is left behind in this fight.
